Beck has been working expressively and therapeutically with children for the past fifteen years. Beck has experience using therapeutic play with infants, toddlers, children, and teens. She is well-versed working in early intervention, with childhood behavioural challenges or disorders and developmental and complex trauma. Beck celebrates neurodivergence and aims to support her clients in celebrating their uniqueness. Beck incorporates her experience working in early childhood education, early childhood intervention, creative arts and developmental trauma to provide an integrative play therapy approach for all of her clients.

Beck’s initial tertiary qualifications were in performing arts and she then went onto tertiary level study in early childhood education and care. Once she had these under her belt, she wished to combine her knowledge and translate it into providing therapies for children in need. Beck entered postgraduate studies in Therapeutic Child Play and completed her graduate certificate in 2021. Cut to the end of 2023, and Beck has now completed her Master of Child Play Therapy which allows her to have full registration as a Registered Play Therapist with the Australasian Pacific Play Therapy Association (APPTA) and Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA). Beck is also a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and an affiliate member of the International Consortium of Play Therapy Associations (IC-PTA).
